C&C Catering Engineers Ltd are delighted to have recently helped deliver a prestigious scheme at Blackburn Cathedral, which saw Cafe Northcote open at the impressive building.
Fitted in late May, the project was led by Nigel Haworth, who brought C&C Catering Engineers Ltd on board after previous works at Northcote Manor. Installation included an island cooking suite, 10 grid and 20 grid combination ovens, Meiko pass through dishwashing machine, various refrigeration (including walk in coldroom and freezer), ventilation hood, and bespoke fabrication to suit the layout.
The cooking suite, an Electrolux 900 series, was favoured by Nigel Haworth following the fitting of the first bespoke New Therma suite in the UK at Northcote in 2013.
Due to the nature of the cathedral building, the space available was very tight and hindered by structural columns, one of which ran through the cooking suite. C&C Catering Engineers were able to adapt the Electrolux equipment to overcome this, and create a perfectly fitting piece of kit.
Managing Director Ian Berrow commented, “It has been great to work with Nigel Haworth again on another Northcote project. The scheme looks fantastic and we’re delighted to have been involved. Client have stated how happy they are with the kitchen, which makes the project even more worthwhile.”
