Cerys Hughes has just celebrated 25 years’ as an employee at C&C Catering Equipment and Engineers, which is quite a feat.  Showroom Manager, Cerys, started working for C&C Catering Equipment in 1988, prior to moving to the C&C Catering Engineers’ site in 2013.  She initially undertook a part time role whilst her children were young.  Now, Cerys’ children have completed their University education and she is a full time member of staff!

Having worked for the duration of this time in the showroom, Cerys is definitely an expert, with responsibility for the running, buying and management of an increasingly busy division of the company.  “I started with a relatively junior position and the role has just grown from there,” says Cerys.  “The past ten months in particular have seen significant changes with the showroom’s move to new premises and working closely with my colleague, Corinne, who drives sundry sales, has been instrumental in moving this process forward.”

A keen yoga fan and lover of the outdoors, Cerys is an active fundraiser, having supported many charities over the years, most recently, ‘Breakthrough Breast Cancer’.  She also organises an annual garden party for a different charity each time, at which guests can have fun in addition to donating, and is a hospital volunteer.  She has now brought these skills to the work environment, organising C&C Catering Engineers’ fundraising efforts for ‘Children in Need’ at the end of 2013 and will be managing the charitable endeavours of the company throughout this year.  It is an activity that Cerys enjoys, together with all the other aspects of her role.  “I do love the job and the people here are very much a part of that,” she says.
